Please read these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the MyAccounts platform ("Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Introduction

MyAccounts is an expense management and receipt scanning platform designed for Irish businesses, sole traders, and PAYE workers. The Service is provided by Excel Business Services ("we," "us," or "our"), a company registered in Ireland.

2. User Eligibility

By using this Service, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age.
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
  • If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

3. Account Registration & Security

  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials (including passwords and passkeys).
  • You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.

4. Use of the Service

The Service allows users to upload receipts (images, PDFs) for digital storage and data extraction via OCR/AI technology.

  • You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all data submitted to the Service.
  • You acknowledge that while we use advanced technology to extract data, errors may occur, and you must verify all extracted information.
  • The Service is intended to assist with record-keeping obligations under Revenue Commissioners rules and the Finance Act 2022 (Section 897C). However, the ultimate responsibility for compliance rests with you.

5. No Professional Advice

The Service does not provide tax, legal, financial, or accounting advice.

  • Any information provided by the Service is for informational purposes only.
  • You should consult with a qualified accountant or tax advisor regarding your specific tax obligations and compliance with Irish tax law.
  • We do not guarantee that the use of this Service will ensure compliance with Revenue audits.

6. Subscription & Payments

  • Some features of the Service may require a paid subscription.
  • Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis.
  • We reserve the right to change subscription fees upon reasonable notice.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time; however, no refunds will be provided for partial billing periods.

7. Data Retention

We retain digital records of your receipts and data to assist with your record-keeping obligations (typically 6 years as per Revenue guidelines). Please refer to our Data Retention Policy for more details.

8. Service Availability

  • We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee 100% uptime.
  • We may suspend the Service temporarily for maintenance, upgrades, or security reasons.
  • We are not liable for any loss or disruption caused by Service downtime.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law:

  • Excel Business Services shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
  • We are not responsible for any tax penalties, interest, or fines imposed by the Revenue Commissioners or other authorities.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with our Acceptable Use Policy. You must not upload illegal content, attempt to breach security, or misuse the platform.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
